Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it.

It is not about what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.

With a positive mindset your circumstances can never influence your life, there will be bad times and it will be difficult to stay positive sometimes, but remember that you have a choice in every situation. How you react on a bad situation will determine your life and where it goes from that point on. You should look at the ‘bad’ circumstances and figure out what you can learn from it. You can either sit down and cry about how awful life is or you can see an opportunity in every bad situation

As we continue our journey in life, our day sometimes becomes sour and ruin because of some events that are provoking in nature which are thrown in our path. We reacted negatively to them and we can’t help anger seething in our being.

I recently read an article of Stephen Covey, a principle called 90/10 which revealed that we can overcome negative reaction in any negative scenario in our life by adopting this principle. What then is this principle? Covey says, “ 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. But the other 90% is determined on your reaction.”

Reaction - a boat which is going against the current but which does not prevent the river from flowing on.

Your Reaction On The Situation Determines Your Quality Of Life

As I told in my recent blog, PERSPECTIVE : The Direction In Which Your Mind Goes, we can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses. It depends on us that how we perceive things, or how we wanna see them, being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.

No one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
